What do you do when you have friends scattered across the various instant messaging networks such as Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, ICQ, Jabber and AIM ? Instead of using individual messaging clients on your computer you can use Multi-network messengers such as Digsby & Pidgin.

Gmail Labs: Good concept but useless features

Google has added the Gmail Labs functionality to its Gmail service. A collection of 13 new experimental features, Gmail Labs allows users to try out new features which Google wants to try out before they introduce it to the regular Gmail service. Unfortunately while the concept is super, the current features on offer are not.

Invisible mode in Google chat is disappointing

Google recently introduced the option to sign in as invisible in Gmail’s integrated chat. This was a feature long available in Yahoo Messenger & Windows Live Messenger but was absent in Google Talk. However Google Chat was much better off without the invisible feature.
